Hi everyone,

I'm from Quebec (Canada), i just bought a 2003 vibe Gt to replace my base 2003 Matrix. It was my father's car, it as a lot of kilometers on it but the car is in really good shape. For now, there's only a set of 17'' aftermarket wheels on it but i already have my eibach sportline suspension (from my matrix) that will go on it as soon as i have time. And, i plan to put an injen intake on it really soon. I'm still not sure witch wheels i will keep on it. I have XRS wheels, Vibe GT wheels and to set of 17'' aftermarket wheels. Well, i think this is not really a problem

Welcome! Nice looking Vibe and not a bad looking Matrix either! As for the wheels, I do like those that are on it now. I usually prefer the stock 17" wheels, but those look really nice for aftermarket.

Good luck with your mods and your new Vibe!

Welcome to GenVibe :D Love those XRS wheels on it. This Vibe appears to be in good shape too. Definitely the better looking of the two in my opinion. Visit us here often!

Welcome to GenVibe! That's a very nice looking 1st gen Vibe GT you've got there ;)! I prefer the aftermarket wheels on it to the XRS wheels. I like the wheels on the Matrix too.

Thanks eveyone ! Really enjoying the car so far except for one thing. I need to change the clutch soon and i have notice a noise coming from the tranny  . The noise look like the throwout bearing as it go away when i press the pedal clutch, but its making noise when i release the gas pedal while driving....any ideas ? When i put the car in neutral and i'm revving it, i hear a noise too but slightly different and hard to described, like clunk clunk.

Search these forums in regards to these noises. The early 5 speeds had bearing issues, it is suggested to replace with an 05 or up trans or with a 6 speed when they go south. Being a GT it should already have the 6 Speed. A throw out bearing will be noisy any time you step on the clutch, a pilot bearing is noisy with the car not moving but in gear, foot on the clutch. Yours sound more like transmission bearings or diff issues.
