I already printed out this link: http://www.deepstaged.net/toymattein.htmIt does not seems to be a very hard job, but I'll have to get a spring compressor.Any tips not shown in this instruction?
quote:One Canuck-specific tip is that Canadien Pneus will loan you a spring compressor for free! (at least at two sites in Ontario that I tried) I though about getting it form them. And btw, those store remain Canadian Tire even in Quebec
BTW, I'm wondering if I can install them myself or let it done by a real mecanic. The work does not look very complicated, but I feel a little bit unconfortable to do it myself. I know where to get the tolls and I have the full instruction.May be it is only a little lack of confidence. So, should I do it myself and safe few bucks or let it done by a "specialist"?
i would recommend an impact wrench! had my mechanic do it, but he let me help so i could learn for next time. was pretty easy, put the air tools made it go by extremely fast! we had them all installed in 2-3 hours. i paid him $120 for install.
Ok, it decided, I'll install them myself this week-end (as the Montreal meet is cancelled, I'll have time now).I'll borrow a compressor air wrench and impact gun from a relative and get a spring compressor at my local Canadian Tire (they lend you one 72 hours for free).I'll let you know how it was on monday. And thaks a lot Raser for your help!
quote:Hey Ben!If you need someone to help ( more like watch ) you let me know, I will bring over the beers!!Thanks Sam but I'll be far away from Montreal. I'll be at St-Michel-des-Saints for the week-end. I'm leaving in appartement and intall this in the parking lot does not sounds good to me. So I'll go to see ma parents, and use their garage and air tools.Be sure I'll take pics and share them with you.
I forgot to tell you the good news.I meet "the Brown" this morning, I got my springs.$222 total invoice (cdn money) withtout tax and duty. The seller snet it ot me as a sample and gave him a $10 usd value
