Posting pics

What are yall using to take ur pics to post. Tried to post pics I took with my phone but site keeps telling me the file is to big. What do I need to do different. Please help, I'm tech challenged.

Use something like imgur to edit the size of the photo, then just post the image links.

I use Microsoft Paint to resize and crop my pictures. I use the "safe as" command to give this picture a new name. This way I keep the original and the resized one.

What kind of "safe" names does it suggest? Puppy? Sunshine?
