Minor Vanity Mirror Part

Post by FremenMatt »

This is such a minor thing I feel a little stupid asking, but I'm trying to replace some missing parts on the 2007 Vibe I bought. Here it is:

On the driver side sun visor vanity mirror, there should be two little black rubber or plastic stops at the bottom of the frame to stop the mirror cover from banging against the mirror. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy those stops anywhere without purchasing a whole new sun visor? I'm thinking probably not (I can't seem to find them), but I thought I'd ask. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not too familiar with the 1st gen (2003-2008) Vibes since we have 2009s, but it sounds like from what you're describing you could just use a small piece of felt with some double sided tape on the backside of it or something similar. I know in the craft department at Walmart they sell pieces of craft foam that is sticky on one side. One piece of this stuff costs about $1.00 and they have it in black. Chances are as you said, you can't get just those small pieces on their own, so you'll probably have to get clever and rig something up yourself.
