Front Dome Light Question

In the 2006 Vibe, is the front dome light over the dash supposed to come on when the doors are open?
The center and rear dome lights work OK, but the front dome light does not come on when the door is opened.
The bulb is good because I can turn it on with the on/off switch on the right side of the light.

The front dome light, whether it be in the mirror (non-sunroof equipped models) or by the sunroof controls will not come on with the door. That's pretty much just a reading light. The center and rear lights will come on with the door. If you want more light, I suggest converting them to LED. I have a how-to in my signature, but since then most autoparts stores have started carrying festoon-style LED bulbs that would work. Cheap, easy, and you get a LOT more light.
