3M Sound Deadening Pads

Post by cptnsolo77 »

Hey guys I thought I would pass this info down. I stumbled onto this while browsing through the DIY auto section of popular mechanics. Maybe a cheaper alternantive to Dynamat. I know that stuff is pretty pricey. I might use it for the hatch area when the wheather cools.

Oh wow, I didnt even realize what the thickness was  probably wouldnt be ideal for doors, not much clearance between the door & door panel. Sounds great for floorboards & hatches 8-)

Try Peel and Seal from Lowe's or U-Seal from Home Depot. Peel and seal is in my doors. I have also put a layer of carpet pad on the inside of the door panels. Don't forget the cut out for the speaker ;) . I am still amazed how good the "tunes" radio sounds. I rarely have to go above 2.5 bars on the volume.
