I don't think it makes much of a difference in which GM division did the repair. Buick/GMC dealers have also screwed this up - we have several members here who have reported their SRS light on after installation of the noise filter. I need to look around and see if Toyota dealers are botching this repair as well, I suspect they probably are. I can only speculate what they're doing to alter the wiring harness for this repair is introducing potential points of failure.
Not sure if we ever learned what codes(s) are being set or what was the actual fault -- Scotman, if you find out, let us know!
I plan on taking videos of several ignition on cycles to prove to the dealer that the SRS light goes out and all is normal with the self diagnostic before I have this recall done. Should the need arise...
