Hello, I have a 2009 vibe gt with onstar and monsoon sub. It stopped working a couple of weeks ago. Buick former Pontiac dealer told my wife bad radio buy an aftermarket one. So I played around with checking fuse and the plugs and etc. I have found that if I unplug the secondary plug from back of radio the cd eject and clock work and if I undo the ground at battery thecd player will come on with sound then go black after abount 2 seconds (all functions work in the short time it will stay on). So I bought a double din and it seems to have no acc voltage when key turns on. I jump the acc voltage to constant and the double din turns on but no sound now. So is the a wiring diagram on all the wires in my 14/16 plug instead on the one I found on this forum. I may have acc and amp turn on wrong and the factory actually be bad. Any help will be appreciated Thanks in advance!
I was thinking that maybe this Vibe was a "flooded victim" from somewhere during the ever so many flooded areas of this country lately. This would explain the problem and maybe more. How long have you owned it? Did you buy it used? Do you know the HONEST history of this Vibe?
We have had it going on 4yrs now and we bought it with roughly 45 to 47k miles. We have had no real problems with it other then the white paint fading due to previous owners automatic car washes. No it is not the power volume knob issue due to it operates for the brief 2seconds.
I got it to work! Acc is on the other plug.... I don't have the R.A.P. any more but I have sound again. I found a Gt pin out of both plugs on 12volt.com. I had to rearrange the pins on the harness I bought but that was easy enough. As long as she dose.t die over night I'm golden!
