Dang Not Again

Post by kc6yot »

OK, where is the link to the super duper magic shields for the fog lights. So far I have bought and replaced three fog light sets between my three vibes. one passenger on for the wife, one driver for the daughter and all the rest have been for mine ( cheaper to buy them as a pair). For some reason I am truly blessed as the rock magnet, my 2006 base the Neptune blue, seems to get hit the most, and the wife and daughter drive more daily than I do. Doing all the maintenance checks and service on all the cars today and found a chip in the passenger side fog light. At least it is not broken all the way through. My son's Camry has fog lights and has never taken a hit in five years. You can get direct replacements with glass but I wish they would make fog lights with something more resistant to a rock impact. I have the last old set, might try the oven bake trick and pry off the broken glass and then replace with plexiglass.

I've made some lexan fog light covers for my car and I love them. I was thinking about starting to make them for the Vibes...
