New owner of a Vibe GT 2003!

Hello Vibe friends!

I have recently bought a 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT from a private seller here in Vancouver. The car has about 170000 km which is about 105000 miles.
I am quite happy with the purchase. I am taking the car to a mechanic to make sure that everything is alright although I checked the basics before I bought it (needs oil change and a couple of break pads are below ~ 40 %) and also got the carproof that showed that the car was never in an accident, so that gave me some confidence.
This is a picture I took this weekend. I really like photography so I took the picture using a film camera and black and white film!

Nice find! Bought a 03 Vibe GT 6 Months ago with 130K miles on it. Have you hit LIFT yet. May want to do that when you have it warmed up.

Yes, I hit the LIFT. After I read about the engine, it was one of the first things I tried
I used to drive a diesel car back in Europe (Volkswagen Polo from 2000) and feeling the rpm from my Vibe it's great!

Hi vibenvy! Sorry I've been busy during the last week. So far my plan was to make sure the car is in good shape. I had to change the rear breaks, the serpentine belt and install a new battery but now is running great and the mechanich told me I will have car for a long time

The truth is that this is the first car that I own and I'm quite excited about it. The car has some small scratches that I would like fix in the future (little by little). I love the color!
About future plans... I live in the west coast of Canada and I would really like to take the car on a road trip down to west coast of USA. Next weekend I'm taking it to Seattle to visit a friend.

I must say I love the sound of the engine. My girlfriend makes fun of me because everytime I park the car and walk home I look back three or four times to check it haha!

I'd suggest a SRI. Don't know they help that much but it does sound more impressive when hitting lift.
