My windshield is broken, and its too far gone to be fixed. The glass places are all closed for the weekend, trying to find out how much this is going to cost me. The glass deductible on the car is $500. It couldn't be more than that could it?

Jeremy: I paid $235 for my Vibe's windshield back in 2011. USAA uses Safelite, which was very much higher, so I called three other local places. Shop around. It is amazing that many businesses won't charge any more to do it in your driveway versus at their location. Bizarre, but true.
I replace both of mine for around $210 each at a local glass shop last year. The 08 was broken when I bought it, and Frosty was so pitted from being sandblasted by 50mph Wyoming winds that it was getting pretty hard to see out of. If the sun was hitting just right it was acting like a giant diffuser.
Thanks for the replies. This is looking up I'll get a hold of the local glass places Monday morning. I dealt with safelite a few times and was dissatisfied with their price and service. Too many other good places to go, never doing business with them again.
