Okay so as some of you may know that recently last year, I had to remove both windshield wiper arms and flip them because some idiot of a PO had for some reason taken them off and then reinstalled them on the wrong side. So I fixed that last year around october or november, however since my fix of that I've been having another issue, my issue is that every so often, especially when I use the fast setting on the wipers, the bolt for one of the two will always come lose, and it varies which one from time to time will come lose, but it's kind of dangerous, driving down the road, and your wiper bolt becomes so loose that the wiper wont even move any more. So I was wondering if anyone had ANY suggestions, or more specifically to what is the proper torque? If not, how hard should I hand tighten them? THANKS IN ADVANCE!
You mean the nut that holds the wiper arm to the wiper drive/pivot shaft? The "windshield wiper arm nuts" are listed to be torqued to 19 lb ft for the 2009 & 2010 year Vibes. Watch your values as lb ft and lb in; makes sure you have the right scale on your torque wench. I light amount of blue thread locker could help hold it.
