strut boot question=-

2005 base vibe. about 77,000 miles,automatic transmission.
the rubber boots around the front struts are badly torn .
maybe caused by busted front of fender liners .
you can see the strut rod exposed.
years ago there was a aftermarket boot that was easily applied to cover a busted c/v axle boot.
should i be searching for that?

you can get just the boot but before you put it on, you'll want to inspect the rod for any damage and/or leaks. If it is damage or leaking, you would need to get the strut changed, it's no fun riding around with blow struts, I've done it.
