clutch replacement options.

Post by sterling619 »

okay everybody i have a 2003 vibe gt. i have had it since 2007. previously it was m mothers (never driven hardcore) as of earlier today my clutch started to slip. the rpm gap started at around 600 rpms in the middle of the gear. now it is about 2000 rpms before it finally grabs at nearly 4000rpms. it now doesnt like to grab at all unless it is in first. i need to get it replaced immediately. can someone please tell me what is the best stock or stage 1 racing clutch to put in it? i drive it pretty sparingly yet i like to get a little sideways every once i a while 8-) i need something that is ready for the punishment. this is my daily driver/toy car. thanks everyone

I like to browse on MWR, then use the part #s to shop for a better price. Try not to get too addicted to looking at all the shiny stuff. They have flywheels and engine parts and all kinds of fancy stuff. I don't have a manual, so I can't give you a specific recommendation, but everyone will probably post by the morning with actual experience.
