new to the Vibe

Post by crs59 »

Hi, everyone, just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Christopher and just bought a 2006 Vibe that had
only one original owner, has 93,000 miles on it. I hope that it was a good decision? Although I felt good about
the purchase. Lost my job last year and could only afford so much without financing, which I did not want to
do since I lost my job, company went put of business and closed their doors, I had 17 years in at the company.
So here I am part of the Vibe community that I discovered by accident. Sounds like a lot of great people, I'm in.
Any advice for me would be appreciated, I can always be reached at crs59@ameritech.net, which is my
e-mail address. Take care all, have a good week.

On a side note, this year is starting out well, since I just landed a new job. So getting a new job and buying
the Vibe has made this year a good one so far.

Welcome to Genvibe. I'm sure the car will be trouble free for a number of years. You may want to check to see it the PCM recall was done.

Welcome to GenVibe Christopher :D Your story is too much the norm for a lot of folks out there. In my early years of employment I too was the victim of TWO business closures! Then I got into a skilled trades union organization which uses the "hiring hall" method for work and will never be permanently out of work. When a shop closed it's doors, you simply sign the list (based on your craft & qualifications) then another shop picks you up and back to work. Anyways with a newer job, and now a Vibe owner, looks like 2014 is treating you well so far. Welcome and visit us ofter here ;)

Welcome to GenVibe Christopher! 93,000 miles is barely broken in for a Vibe! Post some pictures of your "new" Vibe and give us some more info on it (i.e. color, transmission, etc.) when you get a chance ;)! Glad to hear you got another job :)!
