When I came upon the Vibe, it was the only stick they had on their lot..... and by lot, I mean it was stuffed in a storage building where there were cars waiting for repair or being restored. It wasn't out to be looked at! My dad and I took it for a drive and loved how stiff and responsive it was, as well as peppy and easy to shift. The wheels were pitted and the plastic was faded from the sun, but I didn't mind. I bought it for $6500 and have since spent my time caring for it, modifying it, and loving it to death =)
I had decided this past week that I should prepare it for inspection, and bought new rotors/pads/and shoes. Of course, I never thought if the car had them replaced by the dealer before I got it. I had already ordered the parts, but contacted my gf's mom to check if the Vibe had had its brakes replaced when it was in their hands. To my surprise, she printed me out the entire work order for the car!

Most notably, the ? on page 1. That was the actual engine. They had installed a whole new motor with 100k miles on it.
All in all, the papers document $3448.87 in repairs to this car.... and I ask why?
That's just under half of what the car is "worth" and perplexes me to think a dealer would spend that kind of money to repair a pretty well used used car. The odo documented 150k+ miles when I bought it. Seems to me I got really lucky to receive such a revamped car =)
