For those of you who don't know, RPO stands for Regular Production Order. Each option for every GM car has an RPO number associated with it. Each code is 3 digits. For example, codes starting with "L" are used for engines, codes starting with "M" are for transmissions, codes starting with "G" and "F" usually have to do with the suspension, etc.Here are some common RPO codes everyone should know:Z28 = this was the high performance Camaro package. Chevrolet just happened to use the code as the cars name.Z24 = performance CavalierZ26 = this was the Nova SS from 1968 thru 1976, the Nova Rally from 1977 thru 1979 and then the performance Beretta in the 80's.I have a whole list of 1962-79 Nova RPO codes on my Nova webpage:
