Use Cigarette lighter for power?

Post by Scotman »

The manual says not to use the cigarette lighter for power. Anyone use it to plug in their cell phone? Plugging into the one in the console is messing up my charging cord.
Thanks!

I've been using the Cigarette lighter for years to power my cellphone.

I ran both my satellite radio and radar detector plugged into a splitter for years. Never an issue.

In the 2009 Vibe it isn't even called a lighter, it is described as the accessory power outlet. Your worse case would be blowing the fuse.
