Finding Exhaust manifold gaskets

Post by DRYfrosty04 »

Auto zone failed me. All I needed was a exhaust flange gasket and exhaust manifold gasket and what they pulled out was a full inch too small. They pulled out everything they had. Even the biggest one they had didn't fit the manifold. I ended up going to the toyota dealer and paid 80 bucks for all of it. Honestly I dont care because the part is going to fit exactly. And I'm tired of trying to find the dang thing. I'm not about to pay a bunch of shipping costs to mail back wrong sized parts either. So unless you find a different alternative, heads up. It's gunna burn the pocket.

I got this one http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp ... 7CL2*14983" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for my 1ZZ (FWD). The donut one doesn't have any trouble resealing, usually.

The cat was pretty chewed up from trying to wiggle it out. I think that's why it leaks. Plus I don't have a lift to get the car high enout to really torque the bolts in. I got them as right as I could but there's still a little bit of a smell in the engine bay
