Windshield wipers problems on my Vibe 2009 2.4L

Hello,

I'm having problems with my wipers. It's been a while that sometimes the wipers won't work when I start them, that I have to get outside and "shake" them a bit to have them start. But now it's worse, when they're started, they go fine at the intermittent speed and the slower speed, but they completely stop on the fastest speed. What is the problem? Is it the wiper motor(s)? Or could it be the inner control connected to the steering?

I suspect the motor, but want to be sure before ordering a part. BTW, are there 2 motors or is it just one for the 2 wipers?
