Homeless wire & rear defroster

So it's been a week since I got my 06. I was messing around in it and in the back right (passenger side) cubby hole there is a wire that's not connecting to anything, just hanging out. It does have the monsoon speaker in the back, single CD changer, didn't see anything back there that it would connect to, all lights in the back work. Attached pictures below.

On a separate note, the other morning when it was frosted over, I turned on the rear defrost and it didn't appear to be working. Checked all the "lines" and they were all fine.
