Rear o2 sensor wire splicing help

Post by torranosaurus »

Hello.
We have a 2003 Vibe with all kind of check engine light issues. Car has 185000 miles and runs excellent. Light has been on since we have owned it. I bought a rear o2 sensor but it does not plug and play like I was told. Anyone know the wire schematics for a generic sensor? My new one has 2 white, a black, and a grey wire. Can someone tell me which wire colors would go with which?
Thanks in advance.

1) What codes are you having?
2) Return the sensor for the proper one because my diagrams don't match those colors or search the brand name model #
My diagrams show Pink/Back for the Heater back to the ECU, White is the O2 back to the ECU, The black goes to +12 and Brown to the GND.
3) If it's a P0420 code the cat is bad and you need a new one, not likely it is the rear O2
4) Without proper code diagnostics you are throwing money and time at parts.

Determine what the actual codes are, and return the generic sensor.
