New member - '09 Vibe AWD

Post by MindBlowin03 »

Bought this for my wife about a year and a half ago and we absolutely love it. Bought it fully loaded minus fog lights(which I installed) from a used dealer by our house. Been reading on this site for about a year now so I figured I would join and say hi. Here are some pics.

Welcome to GenVibe. You've got the 17" non-AWD 2.4L wheels on your car :? Definitely changed out from what the car came with BUT still looks real sharp ;) What part of the country are you located in (update profile). Visit often !

I firmly believe that they were pretty liberal on the wheels, and put or let them order whatever wheels they felt like on the 09-10 Vibes. I've seen many FWD cars with the AWD wheels (at least 4 or 5) and several of the AWD cars with these wheels on them. More than I would think if a dealer did the swaps.

I totally agree! I've also seen AWDs with the 16" steel wheels and wheel covers, so with the exception of the 1.8L Base wheels and the GT wheels, I think they did a lot of mixing and matching :P.

That could be the case. The brochure stated something different though as you can see in the attached pic. Supposedly only ONE choice of 17" wheel for the AWD. The 17" that he got actually look better in my opinion.

When looking at the selection of wheels/car trim. L to R ........ 1.8 base, 2.4 base, AWD, GT

Thanks for the replies. I wondered about the wheels just from reading on the site, but I have to assume that they came on the car from the factory. I love them BTW, especially with the dark blue.

Welcome to Gen Vibe! Nice car and color - that was the color I hoped to find but it was either black or silver in my area.
