Footwell LED Lights

Looking to swap my interior lights out for LED's but while I'm at it I think I may order a few other for footwell lights and possibly the cup holder LED as well. Just wondering if anyone can point me to a thread on how someone rigged up the footwell lighting I searched and can't find anything. Wiring things isen't something I'm too comfortable with without a guide to go off of. Thanks.

I used the 12v cig wires from inside the center console(actual socket is non-existent in our 05-08 vibes but the wiring is still there. You can use this wiring to tie into. I added a 12v outlet to mine and then have a splitter and individual switches in the center console. One powers the front footwell, one the rear, the other does the additional leds placed around the console. I had to run wires under the carpet. I think i used something like this:
