Rear coil spacer

Post by chas0218 »

I am new to the forum and was wondering if anyone has made a coil spring spacer for the rear struts? I am looking to get a little heavier spring rate. My wife and I use this car a lot commuting from our home to our fishing camp. Once the car is loaded with all of our gear and dogs it has a lot of rear sag. We have tried loading it more evenly and we still have the problem. The car has 150k miles on it and the struts are shot. I figured seeing as it will all be apart I could insert a spacer to help with the load.

This is a 2004 Pontiac vibe AWD.

Thanks,
Chas

I have 70 duro urethane coil spacers on my car. increased the rear spring rate by about 30% without lifting the car. Did it for handling but car remains pretty level with a trailer hitched up.
