What floor mats should I get?

Post by 4426 »

Hello, I'm new here and have been looking around for a while, but to the point, my step dad will be giving me his 2006 vibe when he finds a new car and I would like to get some all weather floor mats for it since I live in Western NY, I just don't know which ones to get. I was looking at the
- Husky's front: http://www.streetsideauto.com/p/husky-l ... uty-51112/
rear: http://www.streetsideauto.com/p/husky-l ... uty-52022/

- Weathertech's front: http://www.streetsideauto.com/p/weather ... her-w31gr/
rear: http://www.streetsideauto.com/p/weather ... her-w20gr/

- GM front: http://catalog.gmpartsdirect.co/?i=2&id ... =0&rcatid=

If you have had any experience with any of these mats please tell me your opinion and I'm sorry if this is a re-post but I didn't find a comparison between all 3 brands.

I am not a fan of husky mats at all. Every set I've ever seen have been cheap and thin. That particular set looks like a generic cut-to-size option unlike the other two that are Vibe-specific.

I have the 09 version of the weathertechs and really like them. They are thick and there's lots of room for catching liquid. The only thing I dislike about them is that they don't cover the carpet near the left foot rest. Not sure if that's also an issue on the 1st gens.

That said, the GM ones with the Vibe logo look cool and if they hadn't discontinued the 2nd gen ones I'd have probably gotten those. Can't speak for the quality, though.

Thanks for your input, yeah I really wasn't too fond of the Husky option either and I think I may go with the GM ones because I think they look the best. Thanks

We have the GM mats in both our 2009 Vibe GTs and couldn't be happier with them. They are very heavy duty and do a great job of catching dirt, etc. and keeping the carpet clean. I'd say go with the GM mats.
