Hello this is my third post. After reading all the great input about seafoam on this site I proceeded to buy a bottle and follow the instructions. In my case, no smoke ever came out when I did the procedure. Could that be normal? It seems that whoever had this car did all the maintenance required as in only has 89,000 miles. Car runs fine. However, in the mornings when I start it up even before I did the seafoam, there is a small cloud of smoke for a few seconds, this is why I did the seafoam in the first place. Is this smoke at start up a bad sign? Your input is greatly appreciated.
What color is the "smoke"? If it's white it's not smoke, it's water vapor from the moisture in the exhaust evaporating as it heats up. This is completely normal at start-up. The colder it is outside the longer it will do it. If it's dark gray or black then it's actually smoke from something being burned off.
I've done the Seafoam procedure 3 times. Huge amount of smoke each time (different cars). I think it is important to follow all instructions completely. In addition, The can may need to be held upright during the procedure. Is it possible to get a bad can that doesn't discharge the product? Possibly.
From what I've read on multiple sites (about to use it myself), if you add it to your gas tank you don't get to enjoy the smoking extravaganza, if you add it directly into your engine then it's 4th and New Years all at once.
I just used it in a 1996 Accord v6, a single cylinder '08 150cc scooter, and the 09 Vibe by mixing in proper amounts (1oz/gallon gas). I can confirm that none smoked. The 96 and the scooter were noticeably better performers though (scooter was faster, Accord was smoother). Vibe didn't seem to make a difference, probably cause it's been well cared for.

Hey Vibelo,
Did you add the Seafoam to the gas tank, or did you do the "spray it into the induction system" procedure? My 140K 05 base Vibe smoked like a Banshee when I sprayed it! If a Banshee smokes, that is.
