Ordering process

For anyone with experience with ordering their vehicle, how did the process go through?How much of a deposit did you have to put down?Are their any questions or information that is needed to be known before going to order?What type of contract or papers did you have to sign at this point?Just wanting to be prepared when I do get to this point.

Thanks for the links.How much of a deposit was necessary during the ordering (to those who have ordered)? Was there any other payments necessary at the beginning?

I think a $500 deposit is relatively standard when placing an order or when asking a dealer to do a swap with another dealership, but the check is usually not cashed until delivery when/if you provide an additional downpayment.

Thanks lopers. I always get different answers from the salesmen themselves. You can't trust some of them.After reading your post I also read somewhere (I think http://www.carbuyingtips.com) that you should never pay more than $500 (U.S.) for a deposit.
