Dome light help

Post by harryb »

I was changing the LED in my dome light (2006) when the plastic switch fell out of the light. There was also a small spring that fell. I can't figure out how they go back in - something should be holding the switch tight against the light body, but I don't know what. Was there maybe another piece that also fell out?

Do you have any pictures? Can try to compare what you don't have against a complete unit.

OK - here's the light:

The switch mechanism goes on the far right. And here's the two parts of the switch that fell out:

I've looked and can't find anything else that looks like something that would have fallen out, but it sure seems like something is missing.

Thanks!

Parts reference, but no switch:

Appears the courtesy light is a fixture, so unable to locate sub parts. I have the moon and tunes courtesy switch arrangement, unable to compare yours against min.

The assembly goes into the headliner, worst case you find the courtesy light assembly on e-bay (just searched, only found bulbs no assemblies) and swap your complete unit.
