2009 main computer died

It happened on Christmas morning car wouldn't start. The next day called a number I found for Pontiac they sent a tow truck and took to dealer of my choice The dealer found problem and ordered new computer they didn't get it in a few days and had to order another then it ran into New Years Holiday so it took 10 days to get it fixed I was right at the 50000 mile mark so the warranty paid for it that was a good thing! But I hope I don't have to replace it every 50000 miles. I thought I would post this to see if any body else starts having this problem? now I have another problem with the airbag computer going to start another post on that one.

What is the warranty on the computer?

I bought the car new with 4 miles on it. Base model with 1.8 auto. Haven't had any problems or been in a wreck or under water, the paint on rear hatch that rubbed from the spoiler was fixed twice and after both time the first day above 80 deg and it rubbed again tried to get them to put a gt spoiler on it with no luck I finely just gave up on that problem.

They said the covered the computer under the emission warranty
