New Vibe GT owner

Post by ImUrOBGYN »

Hello everyone. I live in Delaware, OH and I'm a new owner of a 2003 Vibe GT as of a couple weeks ago. Bought it for a great price as a spirited and utilitarian daily. We also own a 2010 Toyota RAV4 V6 4x4 and an 89 Toyota Supra Turbo, decently modded.

I've already cleaned it up, changed the plugs, terminals *badly corroded, filters, and other little maintenance things. Running nice and smooth, now. Waiting for my dust caps/bumpstops to come in so that I may change the struts, strut mounts, etc. Going with stock springs for now due to money constraints. Just threw on some new 225/50-16s. Diameter is almost exactly the same as stock. I'd like some wheels a bit larger to feel the wells, but it'd be even harder to impossible to keep it in lift between shifts, then. (I spend most of my time poking around, anyway.) Everything seems to be working great. Inside is in great condition.

Here are a couple quick pics I took of it. It was cloudy and a bit rainy. There not the greatest but you know what they look like. ;)

They are a bit pinkish, aren't they? haha I'll try to get some better pics up and some pics of the Supra when I have a bit more time.

Hello Everyone. I just bought my 2009 Vibe GT last Saturday. I love it! Man, this thing is loaded. Probably, no for sure, the most fun car I ever driven. I traded my '05 Ram Hemi for it. Almost got cold feet, but did it anyway. It's all about MPG now. I really don't need a truck anymore, so it made sense. So far, I'm glad I did. My Vibe has only 35,000 miles and is almost showroom new. I have always been a big Toyota guy with my previous truck, Camry's and Corolla's. I only found out recently that the Vibe and Matrix were "non-identical" twins. That sparked my interest. I did a bunch of research and apparently the Vibes are more gussied up and a better bang for the buck. I was a little worried at first, because Pontiac hasn't built a car worth having more than 10 years in a long time, if ever. And this is from a guy who's first car was a Tempest. My wife just bought a Mazda 3 and buddy did I take to the hatchback. But wanted something more than Mazda had to offer. This was it!
