Just bought 2003 Vibe

Post by gregg90 »

I have wanted one of these since my best friends parents bought one in 2006. Theirs is close to maxing out the odometer and has never been to a mechanic shop. I finally pulled the trigger and bought this 2003 base model. (i've already hit up BadVibe for some aesthetic parts) I'm a very competent shade tree mechanic and look forward to using this forum and hopefully adding to it. 114k miles and I am getting 35mpg with the auto trans.

I am currently in northern Utah attending Utah State University. I'm used to tinkering and personalizing motorcycles so the Vibe is about to get the same treatment. Any standard mods anyone would suggest aside from the drivers window switch juice can fix?

That mod is coming this weekend if I can squeeze in enough time with all the other mods happening.

I have a list of mods for this summer after looking around on the sight.

Grafxwerks for the badges are already on their way.

Sun visors for every window.

I was thinking of painting the body cladding black with plasti-dip.

eyelids on headlights also plasti-dip

K&N typhoon

And possibly Stein springs but I'm hesitant on lowering it considering I'm 6'4" as part of why I bought the car is I don't have to sit all the way down into it.
