T rated tires

Can I put T rated tires on my '06 Vibe AWD? It is rated for H. Looking at General Evertrek RT's that are cheaper and have a longer tread life.

In my opinion, YES you can. I know my Vibe won't be going 118mph, unless of course I drive it off a cliff.

Most tire shops will refuse to put on tires rated less than OE tires (which I believe were H rated) for liability reasons. Even if they do you can kiss any tire warranty goodbye.

When I got tires last fall the Firestone store said they don't recommend changing by more than one rating. That T rated tire is a 2 rating change. He also said that the warranty would be void if a customer insisted on going beyond one rating difference.
