My question is, what is the source of the problem? "Preliminary Notice - 2003 to late 2004 Model Year Corolla and Corolla Matrix Vehicles Airbag
Wire Harness Installation"
Yet it goes on to talk about the module. Which is it?
If it is an air bag wiring harness, they will have to entirely gut your interior to replace it. If that is the case, I am not looking forward to the monkeys at the dealer tearing the crap out of the car. I had a bad seat belt buckle switch on my Hyundai that triggered the SRS light, brought it into the dealer and had it replaced. They did about $100 worth of damage to trim parts in the process of seat removal and installation, and now I have rattles that weren't there before after I made them fix what they jacked up.
If it's just the module, then it's just pulling out the lower dash trim around the shifter I do believe. You can see it looking back there with the console in place, but not sure if it can come out without removing the console. Still a very good chance at getting parts damaged.
