My 03 Vibe Base

Post by cmpltvertigo »

Quick History: purchased my 03 Vibe about 4 weeks ago. It was in excellent shape minus a broken hubcap, broken antenna, and a cracked radio bezel. Thanks to GenVibe and its members I already replaced the hubcap, and radio bezel. Vehicle has 110K miles and counting.

Both are Nice and clean. Amazing how much better southern cars look as they age. Here you are lucky to have a car for 15 years, the Dept of Transportation encourages vehicle replacement through the generous application of salt.

Any enhancements planned for the Vibe, or just regular maintenance?

Thanks and I agree with you, the rust is a much bigger issue on the east coast.

As far as the Vibe I am thinking of just some basic mods such as a CAI and an axle back exhaust. I am looking at the COSMO CAI and the Magnaflow exhaust.

Both very nice cars! If I may recommend something, it would be to make yourself some plexiglass covers for your fog lights, or at least put some vinyl film on them. They have a tendency to break when exposed to rocks and the like.

Thank you, and funny you mention the tip on the fog lights because the passenger side fog light already has a small crack.

Haha, I've been through two sets of them, I should have made transparent covers from the get-go and had functional lights. I might look into a junkyard set in the near future...
