Decent in-dash navigation system w/ipod functionality

Post by smurray09 »

Hello,

New to the board but I've been surfing around here for a while. My mom's giving me her 2004 Pontiac Vibe and I want to get an in-dash navigation system with ipod/iphone functionality. Can you guys suggest some good ones for the Vibe? I don't want to spend too much but I don't want it to look cheap either. I've checked amazon but for some reason the ones I always pick can't fit into the vibe for some reason (at least that's what amazon says). Thanks guys. :D

Seems like most of the people that have the in dash GPS in a Vibe got it as a factory option, and that system is not something you want to spedn money on because nobody seems to be able to get any map updates in the past decade.

There may be other sites, but http://www.crutchfield.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; allows you to specify your vehicle and then search for the type of item you want, I assume showing you only items that are compatible with your car. When I searched for items to fit my 2003 VIbe, it came up with 23 different models, ranging from $500 to $1500. I'd like to have one, but not sure it would be worth the cost for me :(
