Greetings

Hello all, I am a new owner of a '09 GT and new member of the forum. So far I am a fan of both! I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find a service manual for my model. I tried searching for both the Vibe and Matrix, all I come up with is first generation manuals or full GM shop manuals which cost upwards of $700. I like doing my own maintenance and tinkering with things. So far this forum has a lot of great info but I would like a service manual if I can find one. Thanks!

Welcome to GenVibe! Update your profile with your location and give us some more info on your "new" Vibe GT i.e. color, mileage, transmission, mods, etc. Better yet... post some pictures of it when you get a chance ;)!

You can check eBay for service manuals. Quite a few members here have purchased them direct from the company that makes them too. Buyer beware though, according to the 2009-2010 members here who have purchased them, they contain a lot of misinformation. Apparently they (GM/Toyota) seemed to have carried over a lot of the information from the 2008 manuals which does not really pertain to the 2009-2010s.

If you have time on your hands you can also do what I did and subscribe to techinfo.toyota.com for 2 days ($15) and download the entire Matrix service manual as PDFs. It takes awhile because each section has to be saved separately. The online version seems to have less mistakes than the paper GM (HelmInc) version. I haven't seen a paper Toyota version to compare. Pretty much everything in it applies to the Vibe except for some body panels, the radio and some parts of the blower assembly.

Welcome to GenViube :D The 3-book version of the service manuals used to only cost $150 back when I bought them three years ago. They are up to $200 now  Looking froward to pics of your Vibe and also as to your location

Thanks for the warm welcome and the info. I live in the small town of Oostburg, WI. A little community located half way between Milwaukee and Green Bay. My Vibe is a Silver GT auto tranny with about 65000 miles. I have only had it a little over a week and so far I am loving it. No mods yet, not planning on many either. This car is my daily commuter. I needed something reliable and fuel efficient. When we started looking at cars my wife and both fell in love with the Vibes. We test drove a bunch, both Gen.1 and Gen. 2 and bought this one because it was the best deal. I am hoping the car will last me a long time. I will post some pic's when the weather gets nice and I can get her all sparkly again. This is the first time I have ever joined a forum so be patient with this rookie. Thanks!

Nice to hear your GT is the best color :D! Since you're not too far north, you should consider coming to our big Vibe meet we're having in Pontiac, IL on June 15th ;)!
