Adding Cladding...?

Just picked up an '06 Vibe after having been stuck with an Outlander for four years (previous '05 got totaled, RIP). The color's "Salsa," but I like the way the dark gray bottom cladding on some models breaks up the color. Can this be added, or is it a structural part of the panels, doors, etc.?

The Pontiac cladding is not structural.

The cladding you are asking about is on the car now. It's just painted.
