Hello everyone. I just bought a 2009 Vibe last weekend and came across this site while looking for information. I look forward to learning about my new car. I will try to search before asking questions and be thankful for any help and answers offered when I do need to ask.
Welcome to the Vibe site... we seem to be getting lots of new members! A good thing! Post a picture of your car when you get a chance, and let us know what part of the country you live in.
You'll find a bunch of friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable Vibe enthusiasts here.

Welcome to GenVibe! It's always nice to have another 2nd gen owner join us! As vibolista said, post some pictures of your "new" Vibe when you get a chance and give us some more info on it i.e. trim, transmission, engine, etc.

Thank you all for the greetings. I will try to get some pics up soon.
As for the basics:
2009 Pontiac Vibe base model (very stock)
Metallic Gray w/ black interior, 4 Speed Auto, 1.8L,
16 Inch Steel wheels with stock Hubcaps,
84,000 miles, good to very good condition.
My 1998 Toyota Tacoma 4wd TRD has over 250,000 miles and needs more work and TLC than I can justify at that MPG. It has been a great truck for the last 8 years, but it is time to move on. I recently switched careers away from construction and have more freedom in choosing a vehicle. I have wanted a Vibe or a Matrix for quite a while now. My focus will be on longevity and MPG over racing, even if my foot has a tendency to be a bit heavy....
I have already started reading and learning. Today I replaced the Cabin Air filter, dropped the fan and cleaned it out, then did a duct cleaner treatment to the system. The previous owner was a heavy smoker and today's efforts helped a lot in the recovery. The CAF hadn't been replaced in quite a while (I may post a pic of it as well). My next priority will probably be fixing the broken volume nob. Right now, on radio, it is very loud. I am controlling the volume with my MP3 player through the aux jack. I will have to decide on priorities after that as money and time allow.
Looking forward to seeing pictures of your Vibe! That's great that you wanted a Vibe/Matrix and you finally got one ! Do you have any plans for mods to it?
