Hello im looking at replacing the oil in my trans and have looked all around on genvibe and have found alot of info for the 5 speed but not alot for the 6. i was wondering whats best to run in that trans. i have found alot of people recomend red line 75w90 gl-4 gear oil. is that what i should use and also how much dose that trans require thanks for your help :D

I can only weigh in on my experience with the 5-speed but yes the Redline MT-90 (GL-4) gear oil helped shifting at lower temperatures much better than the Valvoline 75W90 (GL-5) I had originally put in. The owners manual should tell you how much to put in when doing a simple drain and refill.

Redline MT-90. Easy choice.
I attribute the longevity of my 'doomed to fail' 5-speed to this stuff.

I had an 03 GT 6spd...I used Honda Manual trans fluid..it shifted perfectly cold or hot. Bought it at the Honda dealer but a good euro parts store will carry it. Highly recommended by some Honda 'experts' I know.

I use Royal Purple Max Gear 75W-90. Loving in NWFL we don't see a lot of cold weather. Works great, smooth shifts.

put the red line in last night , deff shifts noticably better . its about 10-20 % easier to get into 1st & R , jams 2nd a little easier too . deff recomended !
