BLP-09 AWD Vibe Console question

Post by blp »

Hi,
I just bought my red, 09 AWD Vibe with 23,000 miles. I have a question, can someone please tell me what the
number and sometimes letter means, that appears in the upper right corner, above odometer? I have attached a picture.

Welcome to GenVibe!

Never been in an 09/10, so don't know, but in viewtopic.php?t=755" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; you can download PDF versions of Vibe documentation, and from that thread, the Getting to know your 2009 Vibe brochure at http://www.genvibe.com/images/misc/manu ... be_gtk.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; page 3 seems to be saying its an automatic transmission shift indicator (I assume P R N D 1 2 ).

Is that the number/letter you're asking about?

I can confirm it's the shift indicator. If numbers are showing you've shifted past drive into the paddle-shift mode (automated manual).

And the numbers just indicate the highest gear it will shift into, not necessarily which gear it is in. It will start in first gear from a stop.

Yep. Everybody is correct here. If you had a manual transmission then your odometer display would look like this:

Thus you don't need to know what gear you're in
