Throttle body compatiblity for 03 Vibe 1ZZFE?

I have a 03 Vibe Base with the 1ZZFE engine. Are all of the throttle bodies the same for the 03-08 1ZZFE engines? So I could look for 1 from a 2003 Vibe/Corolla/Matrix with a 1ZZFE engine?

What about 1 from a MR2 Spyder? Was trying to look up part numbers for a Corolla/Matrix compared to a MR2 Spyder but can't seem to find any data to compare if they use the same part number/TB.

Yes a 03-04 TB for the 1zz Corolla/Vibe/Matrix should work. Now the 05+ are DBW (except for the AWD/4WD) and I'm not sure if they will work. They also did some piping changes for the big tube going in the Valve cover. I beleive on the 03-04 that connects into the TB on the 05+ it connects to the intake hose just before the TB.

Edit: It's doubtful the you'll seem much of a performance gain with the bored TB alone. Now if you add an Intake, Header and Exhaust perhaps 10-15 HP.

Thanks for the info! I've got a K&N intake installed and a spacer (not installed yet). Wanna get a 2nd TB bored out and ready to install for when I pull my intake manifold off to replace the gasket (that has not failed yet - more preventive maintenance than anything) then put everything back together. Header and exhaust later down the road if/when my stock exhaust needs replacing.

You wouldn't happen to know the diameter of the intake manifold where the TB bolts to would you? I think I read someplace it is smaller in diameter? I am thinking this is a job just waiting for a Dremel tool to carefully open up the IM opening using the TB spacer (with some masking tape on the ID of the spacer for protection) as a template. To me, it would make sense to do this so that all intake openings are "relatively" unrestricted.

Is that a Helix Throttle body Spacer? Don't bother with it. Many have gone down that road and it alway never does much and perhaps causes problems. Also don't buy any GF Chips or any Performance "Chips" for these cars because they won't work. Stick with an IHE or go FI for performance gains. The rest is just snake oil.

Yes, it is the Helix What is this IHE you are talking about? FI is obviously Forced Induction.

My school has a dyno. Maybe I can convince my professors to get it back up and running so that we can test the SAI and then a TB spacer vs. my stock parts. I don't have a TB spacer, though, and I'm not sure that they'd get the dyno running since their consensus has been that it's a "piece of c r a p."
