I tried to search the forums for anything related but can't find anything . I tried to lube that little piece that keeps the fuel door shut but no go. I also tried to move the fuel release up and down to see if i can manage to release the spring but failed. If anyone can help it would be awesome
Let me guess that it is cold where you are right now. Hopefully the cable is just frozen in place because of the cold and will free up when your car thaws out. Can you move it into a garage to warm it up?
I'm right across the lake in Rochester, NY. Its warmer here at -11 (C), or as we prefer to call it in the States: +13 (F).
The cable may have water in it which is causing the problem. I'm not sure about replacing it. It seems like it would be pretty hard to get a new one into wherever it runs.
You could hold the door closed with tape until the cable thaws. I'd use the blue painter's tape as being less likely to damage the paint. Who knows, it may to too cold for that as well!
