So I went to the Toyota dealer for a oil change and service on my XB and I noticed a few Matrix and all were 2013. The cheapest one was $20,000 (still more then a Corolla) and as I looked into the area next to the shifter where there was once only a AUX jack, now there are a AUX jack and a USB jack
Finally after many years Toyota gets it that most folks have iPod or other USB derived devices that they want to listen to.
Toyota has become a huge sludgy company... totally amazed that they made the jump from cassette players to CDs, never mind installing USB capability! Impressive!

I like Toyota, I really do. Their cars are reliable and decent performers but by god are they cheap when it comes to equipment. I recently bought a base V6 Sienna and boy did they cut every gadget they could. No audio controls on the steering wheel, no USB port, a special cheaper radio just for the base model, cheaper seats just for the base model, the list goes on, trip computer replaced by a digital clock, etc. The car itself is fine and I like it a lot but its.... basic.
