Metra stereo install kit 2003-2008 Vibe/Matrix

I have all of the left over parts from a Metra install kit # 99-8205. The only part we used was the double DIN faceplate trim piece, so if you are installing a single DIN radio, it has everything you need. We reused the stock metal mounts from the original radio and it worked out well.

Hi TRB,
I don't understand double vs single din, but I intend to install a cheap Panasonic car stereo with front mp3 input this Spring. I have a base 05 vibe auto. Do I need this kit to do my install? Thanks for the info and the generous offer!

The stock radio is about a double DIN size. Many of the cheaper replacement radios are only 1/2 as tall, thus they are single DIN size. Most of the older cars had single DIN radios too. In order to fit a single DIN radio in a Vibe you do need the kit.
