They look good on the Abyss Vibe's - if they start to make body colored covers (besides the black already out), they may look pretty good on the other Vibe colors as well.

they remind me of the crappy taillight covers people used to put on their cars in the late 80s/earlies 90s. I say if you want that look, do the JDM-style painting of the light fixture interior. I plan doing mine soon...Those covers would look great with chicken wire over your exhaust tip...

Yeah! Along with the plywood bodykit!! Can you feel the power! There's a kid in town with a Focus zx3 and Saleen bodykit painted 'pee in the snow' yellow. He's also got this 'p.i.t.s.' yellow mesh decals over his entire headlight. I haven't made up my mind on if I like it or not but it is different.

Once, again...it's a public forum...I'm an individual just as he is. this means I have my opinions. I choose to voice them sometimes. I'm not saying to be a clone. If you knew me personally, you'd see that I'm the furthest thing from the norm, especially to be so interested cars. no one really believes it, that knows me. not even my wife...So, sorry teacher for stepping out of line...I'm not trying to be jerk. It's just that it seems if someone doesn't like what someone else posts, then you're downing them. Whatever...I won't put them on my car, but hey if you like them and makes you feel like an individual, happy, and just can't live without them, BUY THEM!

i don't want to start another dumb arguement.however, your opinion is fine, but you made fun of his opinion with the chicken wire comment. i just think it's unneccessary, whether you have the right to say it or not. a lot of people here like to gang up on someone who has a differing opinion, or love to jump on someone who knows less about cars than they do. this should be a friendly place where people can come to chat or get tips about their car without fear of being ridiculed for their taste in modsif what i like is rice, then call my car the san francisco treat! *ding ding*

I made fun of noone...the comment about the "chicken wire" was made in a different topic. I simply feel this prodcut is in the same class as that. I have stricty talked about the product. I have not said one thing about the owners who like the product. and no, I will call you nothing. It is your own opinion if you like them. Obviously, you do, because you have them. Fine, I hope you enjoy them, like I said earlier. I've contributed quite a bit of positvenes to this forum. So, whatever. Can noone have a negative feeling about something? Oh, I forgot, when the Vibe came out, it turned the world into a Utopian society. I'm done with this. I will continue to post, though, be it neagtive or positive.

Well I was going to stay out of this one but if negativity is needed, I'll step in. Especially since I am the one who made the "chicken wire" comment on the other thread. That was stupid and so are these. Yep, that my opinion. And since they cover the lights, they are also illegal on public roads.

my headlights are completely covered. the only reason i have them is because the fog lights make up for the lack of headlights. i dont think its illegal if you have fog lights, if it is, f**k da police! as for them being stupid, whatever you say (expletive deleted).

well, the covers dont block out all light, just most of it. the fogs and the dim headlights combined are ample lighting. i have bad eyesight and don't wear my glasses, if it wasn't enough, i couldnt drive at night with the covers on.

This is one of those threads where those tags would help. I can't tell who's being serious, and who's kidding. At least I hope there's some sarcasm in this thread, My opinion, as if you cared, is that the trim pieces look ok, but I wouldn't buy them, just not that into it. Need the money for other things. It does make you feel less unique when you see another car that looks exactly like your own though.

Okay, I just noticed this forum existed and realized that it is MY CAR that the debate is over. That is a picture that nick took of my headlight covers. First of all, to answer the original question that Boca had, I bought them from http://www.autobarn.com. Triton is right in saying that they are part number 337147. And secondly, apparently I'm a ricer now that I have headlight covers that accent my car. Alright, i might as well just give it all up. I've been trying to avoid crossing the rice line but it's too late!!!!! I'm going to put decals and stickers and all types of brand names all over my car for products i don't have. Where can i get a 60 foot high midgate spoiler?!?! I need a tailpipe that has the diameter of a basketball.Guess what, savedbyzero, WE ALL HAVE A LITTLE RICE IN US. If we didn't we wouldn't be interested in a 4 cylinder japanese engine. IF you weren't a little riced out at heart, you'd only buy 6 or 8 cyl's that have less horsepower than our little rice-rockets. Get over it.

There is nothing wrong with stating your opinion on a topic, obviously people will be critical when you post negatively about a topic (people tend to voice their opinions more on negativity than anything positive) - drawing out a simple argument/opinion into 10-200 additional posts of arguments is not appreciated.Let's please continue to be 'constructive' in this thread - I don't want to lock it.If you have an issue with someone in particular that may not be pertinent in this post, please IM them directly or IM a moderator.. or myself.

Just because the diminished light doesn't effect you does not make it legal. You're right there, I remember when the 'full blackout covers' were out and very popular in my area many years ago, people had to take them off their vehicle before driving or else the cops would issue them a citation. The covers listed in the initial post of this thread don't actually impede or cover any of the visible light output, at least that I could see in person and from the pic as a refresher. I could still see how you would get some flack from the cops by having 'anything' on the headlamps other than what is from the factory.

the way things work around here is kinda wierd. if i had a piece of crap car with headlight blackouts, i'd probably get pulled over sooner or later. same goes for dark tint on the front windows, nice cars can get away with it

Alright. Ricist. That has to be one of the funniest friggin things i've ever heard in my life. Brilliance, at work, brilliance.See, that's the problem, you just don't get good humor like that in America. We have to have it imported from the Great White North. Brilliant.

Once again, I'm misunderstood. Didn't call anyone who has these, rice. I said I thought the covers were. Feeling insecure? As far as EVERYBODY having a little "rice" in them because we drive 4 cylinders, whatever...this means that thousands of racers and car enthusiasts that have 4 cylinder cars are ricers. The 4 bangers are more of a challenge to bring up to high level of perfromance. That is why I like the performance world of small displacement engines. Not too mention some decent gas mileage. And I've seen plenty of V6's, I6's, and V8's that I would consider have had one too many meals of Uncle Ben's.I said I was done with this, but when somebody directs a comment directly to me, I have no choice.Nova, thanks for a little backing here! I can only say it on more time, if you like them, buy them...I won't.
