Fuel Pump going out

Post by falcon9du5w0 »

I have a 2007 pontiac vibe base and every time i get gas and go to start my car it just stalls out so i turn the key off then on off then on and it fires right up. I had the pcm replaced at 92k miles and it now has 110k on it. I was wondering what i need to replace the pump i found a tutorial on how to replace it on a 04 (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=30751&p=464197&hil ... mp#p464197" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) i was wondering if its basically the same or if its a different part number.

'03 to '08 cars are virtually unchanged. There may be minor differences but I'll bet the pump is the same. That being said, be sure and have the dealer or parts place look up the correct part for your car.

FWIW the fuelpump is located inside the gas tank which is accessed through a removable panel in the body under the rear seat cushion.
