2009 vibe GT transmission lung downshift 2nd to 1st

New to this lounge.. very relieved to find that im not the only one with the downshift lunge issue from 2nd gear to 1st gear. Im on my way to the dealer monday to see if they are on this.. I will definitly put pressure on GM if it is not fixed. sounds like this should be a factory recall fix.. with so many others having this issue.. I spent 40 dollars alleady on 4 quarts of WS (world standard) toyota tranny fluid the WS is stamped on the dipstick and its the only fluid you are supposed to use.. and did a drain and fill.. and it did not fix the problem.. Thanks alot for others leading me in the right direction.. i might get this resolved with a simple reset of the computer at the dealer..

A 225/50/18 will fit the vibe GT and give it a much better ride.. however a small two inch slice out of the inner wheel well plastic where it bulges out has to be sliced off.. absolutly no rubbing at all!! How ever i have noticed i slight decrease in mpg from 29 to 27.. im going with a 215/50/18 next time to see if i dont get my milage back.. the ride is worth it though..

Welcome to GenVibe! Glad to see you found the posts about the harsh downshift on the 2009-2010s and are heading to the dealer to hopefully get it taken care of. There was a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) issued for it so they shouldn't give you any trouble.

Give us more info on your 2009 GT; color, any mods done to it, plans for future mods, etc. Also, post some pictures of it when you get a chance. We love pictures around here !
