Welcoming Vibe #4 To The Family!

Post by Rage4Order »

Vibe #1 2003 Base: My wife's Vibe, and first in our family, died a violent death at the hands of a Fedex truck a couple of years ago at 90,000. We walked away without a scratch.

Vibe #2 2004 GT: Was just submitted for a complete overhaul at 150,000. I drove her like a thoroughbred for 8 years before she started coming apart at the seams. She will return... better, stronger, faster.

Vibe #3 2005 Base : Replaced Vibe #1 about two years ago and has been a great ride, now at about 75,000 and going strong.

Vibe #4 2005 AWD: Was just purchased at 79,000 so that Vibe #2 can go into semi-retirement. She's in great shape and I'm excited to see how the AWD performs in the snow belt, we're bound to get hammered this year. My wife has been eyeballing her and I'm starting to think I'll be giving her up and driving Vibe #3.

People make fun of us... The Pontiac Vibe is the most comfortable and versatile car I've (we've) ever owned. Why drive anything else?? :D

Congrats! As long as your yard does not become a Vibe salvage yard, don't worry about the other people. They just don't understand! :D

My wife thought I was a bit crazy buying our second Vibe. But she relented as long as it was not silver like my son's car. Now my daughter told me she would like "anything but a Vibe!" LOL! But then again one of my 11 yr old twin boys has his eyes on a Fusion Orange Vibe when he is older. He is a BIG time UT fan, so any car of his will probably be burnt orange. I may have to give my 10 GT to his twin brother and get him an orange one.

Good luck with the new addition, and reviving the GT. A three Vibe picture would be neat too!

Welcome to GenVibe! It's awesome to hear that you currently have 3 Vibes in your family! I have 2 in my family, my mom and I both have 2009 Vibe GTs (identical except the exterior colors - mine is Liquid Platinum Metallic and hers is Steel Blue Metallic). We absolutely love them! Ignore the naysayers, they just don't know how awesome the Vibe is! Definitely post a picture or two of your Vibe fleet when you get a chance!

Awesome and inspiring news :D Just like Carrie and several others here, we are ONLY a TWO Vibe family. But at least we're a three Pontiac family. Post pics of all your Vibe's next to each other when you get a chance :)

I have a question? i own a 2010 pontiac vibe, blue steel color. But in the sun it looks like it is purple metallic. Just wondering did they make a mistake in the color name.

Nope, no mistake. My mom's 2009 Vibe GT is also Steel Blue Metallic. Sometimes it looks more blue, other times it looks more purple. I find most people refer to it as being blue though. It's a beautiful color.
