Lower dash Removal

Post by meidou »

Hi guys,
I was wondering if there is a Lower dash removal guideline.I have seen ragingfish's upper dash removal and also the repair manual -http://madstyle1972.com/Repair/71/20ikx/x040001.pdf.
Will these be enough to compete a total dash removal?Do you guys know where I can find a DIY with pics to go with the pdf?

Thanks

I haven't seen such info, but that doesn't mean it isn't out there.

Why do you want/need to remove your lower dash?

Hey Joatmon
I need to remove the dash because there is a rattle coming from it when accelerating,I have checked the heat shield, and had a muffler guy check the exhaust, engine mounts and the engine and he concluded that the noise originates from the inside of the car.The closest I have seen of the removal being done is dgekiere's 2003 Vibe GT Rally Car (viewtopic.php?f=30&t=38118&hilit=rally" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).The car is now 5 years old and over 132k Km and this has been the only problem that I have had,its been good to me other than this annoying rattle.I posted a video of the noise a while back here is a link

I think one spring hits the corner I will take a dive and open the lower dash
